Return Policy Details

We stand clear and direct about our return policies. Soil, compost, garden products, compostable bags and other items ordered through the shops are final sale upon delivery. Damaged items receive replacement. No exceptions.

Compost, Soil, Leaf Mulch and Raised Beds

We do no accept returns from the Soil Shop unless the items arrive damaged. This applies to delivery of bulk or bagged compost, leaf mulch, soil blend, and raised beds. If you have an issue with the product you received please email bulksales@blackearthcompost.com.  

Residential Compost Collection

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any point during your subscription term. To cancel service please contact us through the residential contact form on the website. We reserve the right to cancel your subscription due to a failing payment; contamination; or for other unspecified reasons.

Returns and Refunds: You may cancel your enrollment within the first 30 days and receive a full refund on the subscription. Products ordered through the customer account shop or during enrollment are non-refundable.

Commercial Compost Collection

Commercial and municipal clients have specialized agreements. Each contract defines specific return and cancellation protocols. Transparency guides our business relationship.
